Kol HaNe'arim, "The Voice of the Children."

Each year, the high point of Simchat Torah is Kol HaNe'arim, when all the children gather around the Torah as it is being read, surrounding it in the final moments of the Torah reading cycle for the Jewish year. This beautiful ritual takes place under a canopy, usually made of multiple tallitot. To beautify this custom, Shaare Tefilla has a massive Tallit, large enough to accommodate the many children with whom our Shaare Tefilla community is blessed. To give each family a sense of belonging at this special moment, you can have your children's Hebrew names embroidered on our Tallit, to become a lasting part of this special moment! If you would like your child or children's name(s) colorfully embroidered in Hebrew on the Shaare Tefilla Kol HaNe'arim Tallit, please complete this form. Questions? Please call Joyce E Kelly 972-661-0127, or email director@shaaretefilla.org

Volunteer Security Greeters

As a part of ensuring the safety of our Shul community, we are re-instituting the practice of having Volunteer Security Greeters at the front door on Shabbat mornings. The greeters will ensure that those people entering the building are either known to the community or properly screened in a dignified manner before entering the Shul. If there is any question of a security nature, assistance will be sought from the paid professional security guard on site. The volunteer will also have masks available to give to any persons who do not have them before they enter the building. We are asking that all adult congregants take advantage of the opportunity to be part of this initiative. The sign-up sheets will be available for ½ hour shifts and can be accessed through a link here.
